CUTLIST.io features seven shop tools, built right in.

Save time. Save material. No guesswork.

Optimized cutlists, simplified.

Let's begin.

The Setup Tab

Here we set our parameters. Work in inches or millimetres, enter your blade's kerf, and toggle a few options for setting up your workflow.

The Stock Tab

Enter your sheet or stock sizes and how many you have. Toggle stock related options here (if you missed them on the Setup tab).

The Parts Tab

Enter your parts' width, height and quantity, in fractions or decimals. If grain direction doesn't matter, let the engines rotate your parts when it helps save material.

Now it's time to Optimize.

One tap. Every part placed. CUTLIST.io lays it all out to scale, kerf included, before you make a single cut.

Pick a workflow.

Rip First

Rip full-length strips first, then crosscut to length. The table-saw workflow: leftover length gets re-ripped into parts, not scrap.

Crosscut First

Cut across the material first, rip it down second. Breaks a full sheet into bands you can actually handle, and every cut runs edge to edge.

Max Yield

No opinion on workflow, just the tightest fit the geometry allows: most parts, fewest sheets. Made for the CNC, where cut order doesn't matter.

And now our favorite.

Smart Stack

Blends the others, region by region. Dense layouts that still come apart with straight, edge-to-edge cuts on a saw. Tap "I'm feeling lucky" for a new layout.

Know every cut,
in order.

Cut linesStrategy

Rips and crosscuts on every sheet, showing how to break down your material.

Save layout

Save the layout and open it again on any device.

Print report

Print a cut report with every sheet and part, and take it to the saw.

That's the Cutlist Optimizer.

From sheet sizes to a printed cut report, in a few taps.

Now for the rest of the shop.

The Six QuickTools

Unit Converter, Tape Measulator, Board Foot Calculator, Quick Fill / Tile, Circle Glue-Up Calculator and Shaker Door Maker.

Unit Converter

Convert any length to any other: inches, feet, yards and miles, or millimetres, centimetres, metres and kilometres. Fractions welcome, so 4 1/2 in comes out as 114.3 mm.

Tape Measulator

Add, subtract, multiply and divide tape measurements, inches and metric mixed. Type 48" + 1.27 cm − 6.35 mm − 7/8" and read 47‑3/8" off a tape, with feet and inches and centimetres alongside.

Board Foot Calculator

Board feet and cost for a list of boards. Enter width, length, thickness (fractions or decimals), quantity and price per board foot, and it totals the stack.

Quick Fill / Tile

How many of one part fit on one sheet, kerf included. 24 doors at 11" × 15" from a 4' × 8', drawn as a grid.

Circle Glue-Up Calculator

Board lengths for a glue-up you'll cut into a circle. Each board covers the circle plus your trim allowance, rounded up to the nearest 1/4". Switch on Equal Width Compensation and every board finishes at the same width.

Shaker Door Maker

Stile, rail and panel sizes for a cabinet opening, with tongues and panel gap figured in. Overlay or inset, single door or a pair.
