Privacy Policy

This describes what information CUTLIST.io collects, why, and who else touches it.
Information we collect
- Account info: your email address and password, used to sign in.
- Project data: the stock sizes, part dimensions, and settings you enter or save.
- Billing info: handled directly by Stripe — we don't see or store your full card number.
- Messages: anything you submit through our feedback or contact forms, including your name and email if you provide them.
- Usage info: which pages you visit and which tools you use, collected by the Meta Pixel described below. This is not tied to your name or email.
How we use it
- To run the Service — sign you in, save and load your projects
- To process your subscription payment and manage billing
- To respond if you contact us or send feedback
- To send account-related emails, like confirming your address or a billing receipt
- To understand which pages bring people to CUTLIST.io, and to show CUTLIST.io ads to people who have visited before
We don't sell your information. We never share your email address, password, or project data with advertisers.
Who else handles your data
We rely on a small number of service providers to run CUTLIST.io. Each only has access to what it needs to do its job:
| Provider | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication and the database that stores your account and saved projects |
| Stripe | Subscription payments and billing |
| Netlify | Hosting the site, and collecting submissions from our feedback/contact forms |
| Meta (Facebook / Instagram) | Advertising measurement and audiences, through the Meta Pixel described below |
Cookies and browser storage
Signing in. Supabase stores a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in between visits. It's required for the app to work.
Your work in progress. The app keeps your unsaved stock, parts, and settings in your browser's local storage, so closing the tab doesn't lose them. On the free tool pages, the count of free uses you have left is stored the same way. This stays on your device — we don't receive it, and it isn't used for advertising.
Meta Pixel. We use the Meta Pixel, an advertising tool from Meta Platforms. When it's active, Meta sets its own cookies and receives: the pages you view, the tools you use, and whether you created an account or subscribed, along with your IP address and browser information. We use this to see which pages bring people to CUTLIST.io and to show our ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited the site. Meta may also use this data under its own privacy policy. The Pixel never receives your name, email address, password, or project data.
If you're visiting from the UK or the European Economic Area, the Pixel stays off until you accept it in the banner shown on your first visit. Everywhere else it's on by default, and you can turn it off below. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a no and never load it.
Checking your setting…
This choice is saved in your browser, so it applies to this browser only. You can also control ads you see from Meta in your Facebook ad preferences.
How long we keep data
We keep your account and project data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed from our active systems; some information may briefly remain in backups before it's fully purged. Data collected by the Meta Pixel is retained by Meta according to its own policies.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your saved projects at any time from within the app. You can also ask us to delete your entire account and associated data — reach out through our contact page to request this.
If you're a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you additional rights over your personal information, including the right to know what we've collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sharing of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The Meta Pixel is the only such sharing we do; the Turn off button above is how you opt out, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out as well. The contact page works for any other request.
If you're in the UK or EEA, you have the right to withdraw consent to the Pixel at any time using the same button, and to access, correct, or erase your personal data by contacting us.
Children's privacy
CUTLIST.io isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee complete security.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll make a reasonable effort to let existing subscribers know.
